SP All-in-1 Toolkit
#RRGGBB. No pide permisos.
Desinstalador
- macOS te pide acceso a tus calendarios.
Contacto
SP All-in-1 Toolkit
A menu-bar app for the Mac with the tools you'd otherwise hunt for in five different apps: copying text or a QR code from the screen, picking a colour, system and Finder switches, an uninstaller, PDFs and images, a shelf for your files and a heads-up before every meeting.
The app is in Spanish for now. The names in quotes are what you'll see on screen.
Getting started
- Open SP All-in-1 Toolkit. It lives in the menu bar and doesn't show up in the Dock; click its icon to open its panel.
- The switches are at the top, with the Finder, "Pantalla" (screen) and "Herramientas" (tools) sections below. "Ajustes…" (Settings) opens the rest.
System switches
- "Mantener despierta" (keep awake): while it's on, your display won't turn off from inactivity. It turns itself off when you quit the app.
- "Modo oscuro" (dark mode) and "Ocultar barra de menús" (hide the menu bar) change how macOS looks.
- "Ocultar el Dock" (hide the Dock) and "Recientes en el Dock" (recent apps in the Dock) change the Dock; for the change to show, the Dock quits and opens again by itself.
- "Iconos del escritorio" (desktop icons) shows or hides what's on your desktop; the Finder quits and opens again.
Finder
- "Archivos ocultos" (hidden files) and "Extensiones" (extensions) show hidden files and every file's extension. For the change to show, the Finder quits and opens again; it takes a few seconds.
- "Barra de ruta" (path bar) and "Carpeta Biblioteca" (Library folder) show the path at the bottom of Finder windows and your user's Library folder, without restarting the Finder.
- "Papelera" (Trash): "Vaciar" (empty) tells you how many items are in it and asks you to confirm before they're deleted for good.
- "Discos" (disks): "Expulsar" (eject) ejects every disk that can be ejected.
- The panel reads the real state every time it opens, so it also shows changes you make elsewhere.
The Automation permission
To restart the Finder and the Dock, switch dark mode and the menu bar, empty the Trash and eject disks, macOS asks whether SP All-in-1 Toolkit may control the Finder, the Dock or System Events. Say yes. If you said no, the panel tells you so, with an "Abrir Ajustes" (open Settings) button that takes you to Privacy & Security, Automation, in System Settings.
Copying text from the screen
- Press "Activar" (turn on) in the panel, or turn on "Copiar texto de la pantalla" in Settings, under the OCR tab.
- The app explains why it needs the Screen Recording permission. Press "Continuar" (continue) and turn it on in System Settings, under Privacy & Security, Screen & System Audio Recording. If you already turned it on and nothing happens, quit the app and open it again.
- Press ⇧⌘2, or "Copiar" (copy) in the panel, and drag a rectangle over the text. Esc cancels. The text lands on your clipboard and a notice says "Texto copiado" (text copied).
In Settings, under the OCR tab:
- "Atajo" (shortcut): click it and press the new combination. Esc cancels, and ⌫ leaves the feature without a shortcut.
- "Idiomas del texto" (text languages): English and Spanish to start with; pick the ones you read and their priority.
- "Conservar saltos de línea" (keep line breaks) and "Mostrar aviso al copiar" (show a notice when copying).
QR code and colour picker
- "Código QR": press "Leer" (read) in the panel and drag a rectangle over the code. What it holds lands on your clipboard and a notice says "QR copiado" (QR copied). It uses the same Screen Recording permission as copying text.
- "Cuentagotas" (colour picker): press "Tomar" (pick), move the macOS magnifier to the colour you want and click. The colour lands on your clipboard as
#RRGGBB. It needs no permission.
Uninstaller
Press "Abrir" (open) next to "Desinstalador" in the panel.
- The first time, macOS shows its open panel so you can give access to your home folder and, when you uninstall, to the Applications folder. The app remembers that access.
- The list shows each app with its developer, its size and the last time you opened it; click a column to sort. On the left you can filter by App Store and by developer, and there's a search field at the top. You can also drop apps onto the window.
- "Desinstalar" (uninstall) removes the app along with the files it leaves in your Library folder. "Restablecer" (reset) removes only those files, so the app is back to a fresh install.
- Before removing anything it shows you the list of files and their size, and everything goes to the Trash, where you can get it back. If the app is open, it asks you to quit it first.
Some of other apps' data folders can only be moved by the Finder; when that happens the app asks the Finder to do it, which can take a little while.
PDFs and images
Press "Abrir" next to "PDF e imágenes" in the panel. The original is never touched: a copy is always saved wherever you choose.
- PDF: pick or drop a PDF. You can change its title, author, subject and keywords and save a copy, or save a lighter copy; the app tells you how much smaller it got.
- "Imágenes" (images): pick or drop one or more. The table shows which ones carry a location, camera and date. "Quitar metadatos…" (remove metadata) saves copies without that data to the folder you choose, with the image itself unchanged.
Shelf
Press "Abrir" next to "Estante" (shelf). It's a small window that floats over the others: drop files on it while you go to the destination folder or app, then drag them out one by one or with "Arrastrar todos" (drag all). "Vaciar" (clear) empties the list without touching the files. The list lasts while the app is open.
A heads-up before every meeting
- In Settings, under the "Reuniones" (meetings) tab, turn on "Aviso antes de cada reunión" and pick when: 1, 2 or 5 minutes before.
- macOS asks for access to your calendars. Without it there are no heads-ups; if you said no, turn it on in System Settings, under Privacy & Security, Calendars.
- When it's time, the heads-up covers the screen with the meeting's title and, if the event has a link, a "Unirse" (join) button. Esc closes it.
It skips all-day events and the ones you've declined.
Open at login and colour
In Settings, under the General tab. If macOS asks you to approve opening at login, the app takes you to Login Items in System Settings. That's also where you pick the app's colour.
Uninstalling the app
The system and Finder switches change macOS settings, and those stay even after you delete the app: if you want everything back the way it was, turn them off first. Then press "Salir" (quit) in the panel and drag the app to the Trash.
